So I tried to book my flights today, and Aeroplan told me that I wasn’t allowed to. Apparently it’s impossible to book a flight from Vancouver to Europe to Australia with my points. Stupid bureaucracy. Anyone have any ideas?

Just a question: I haven’t understood why it’s impossible. Impossible with Aeroplan? Impossible because of law (wouldn’t know it)? Or…?
Well, I don’t have any answers on this, but I sure want to know where you are going. I would have a blast trying to connect you to some community people I know wherever you go. I know a great community leader in Perth, a few in NZ and certainly some around Sydney. I’m subscribed and if you want intros for fun or just social connections, I’m glad to help.

I think it’s impossible because of some “redemption” rule.
I’m going to use my points to fly to Australia and just buy my ticket to Europe.
And Sean, thanks for that offer. I certainly will take you up on it!
I concur. Aeroplan sucks. It was harder to get them to change my last name on my account when I got divorced than it was to get a new passport! That’s how bad their bureaucracy is!
