I got a $121 ticket for pulling an illegal u turn. It sucks! I’m a terrible driver, and things like this always make me regret having a car. Because getting the ticket was obviously my car’s fault.
So I’m putting the ball in your court. I was planning on selling my car in the Summer (before my trip)… but do you think I should sell my car now? It certainly would prevent me from getting more tickets, ha ha.
Should I sell my car now?
- Yes! Save your money! (63%)
- No! Being able to drive around is useful. (37%)

So..you plan on riding your bike around instead?
This is probably something I wouldn’t have my blog readers decide but that’s just me.
The key is to do illegal u-turns etc when the police aren’t watching, Jeremy.
Ha ha,
I didn’t know the police were watching!
And yeah, I guess I am a little insane letting random people make these decisions. But oh well!
take it to traffic court (you can do so by going down to the courthouse downtown and get a court date)… you have a 50% chance that the cop won’t show up — and if he does you can argue that it was necessary for some reason. I’ve disputed tickets before and won every time!
Ya! I like that idea. Take it to court. At the very least, it’s an adventure.
Taking it to court would cost more than paying the ticket because I would have to go to Burnaby in Vancouver… meaning 2 ferry rides and 12 hours of my time. Unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of money to throw around.
Yeah sell the beast.
BTW, you should think of changing the tags for your banner so it says something more provocative than “Choose your own adventure header image 1″
Yes, Trenton. I’m still in the process of updating this page ha ha.
