I recently inherited car, and at first I thought having a car would be cool… but I was wrong. Cars suck.First I had to go get the car insured. Since I have never had an accident, insurance was affordable (about $80 / month with a lot of coverage). After going to the insurance place I went to start the car, and it didn’t. So I called BCAA and they jump started it for me. I waited 45 minutes, then went to drive way. The car turned off, and didn’t start again. I had to call BCAA a second time. The car was towed to a repair place and I found out the alternator was broken and I might have to replace the battery as well. I recently inherited $500 in debt. Here is why cars suck:
- You have to insure them
- You have to fix them
- You have to pay for gas
- You have to park
- You have to drive in heavy traffic
- They make you lazy
Here is why not having a car does not suck
- You save a lot of money
- You get exercise (I’ve biked over 2000KM since the start of summer)
- Often bicycling places works out to be the same time as driving
- You don’t need to park or worry about traffic
Cars are evil! However, this weekend I should have my car all ready to go, so I should use it to its full potential and go on an adventure. Leave me some suggestions!
